Sherri Lange has been an educator in numerous areas for the past 25 years. She currently (for the past 18 years) teaches English Literature at Central Technical High School in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has organized environmental forums for the community and staff and students on a wide range or current issues: problems with wind power, climate change, garbage and recycling issues, pollution, factory farming, and community activism, to name a few. Her "Friends of Animals" network has been to Queens Park (Ontario Legislature) for Humanitarian Awards, and is known in the city for its active role in promoting peace, balance, and justice in nature.
In her activism role, she is a founding member of two groups: Save the Toronto Bluffs, and Toronto Wind Action, two groups that are against any industrial wind power in our Great Lakes. She hopes to be able to create community links between America and Canada, encircling the Great Lakes, to protect from the certain ravages of pollution, ugliness, environmental disruption, health problems, and fiscal irresponsibility that follow from industrial applications in the Lakes.
